Plan for 50 000 Trees in Val-de-Marne

The Department is fully committed to preserving the arboreal heritage by launching the "Plan for 50,000 Trees in Val-de-Marne." This plan aims to protect the existing trees on the territory while committing to plant 50,000 new trees by 2028.

Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

The "Terre de Jeux" label, initiated by the Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (COJO), aims to encourage the involvement of all French territories in the Olympic and Paralympic adventure of Paris 2024. By signing this agreement, the Department of Val-de-Marne demonstrates its full commitment to this sporting, touristic, and festive dynamic. Val-de-Marne is the main Olympic and Paralympic training center in France.

Projects Supported in Val-de-Marne with European Funds

The Department and the European Social Fund (ESF)

Since 2014, the Department has played a key role as the leader in social action and integration policy. It is also designated as an intermediate managing body for the European Social Fund (ESF). In this capacity, the Department oversees and manages an amount of €11.6 million delegated by the State for the period 2014-2022.

Since 2014, more than 7,000 residents of Val-de-Marne have benefited from actions co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) These initiatives are primarily aimed at individuals engaged in social and professional integration processes.



The Department and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

The European Affairs Service supports departmental directions and territorial actors in the process of applying for European funding. Among the various European financial funds and programs, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), managed by the Île-de-France Region, supports projects aimed at promoting sustainable and inclusive territorial development.

During the 2014-2022 programming period, the Department mobilized €1.126 million from the ERDF to support 4 projects
